California, here I come!

I’m excited.
I’m nervous.
I feel like I’m going home.
I feel like I’m going to outer-space.
I’m going to California for five days.

And not just anywhere in California:
Los Angeles, San Diego, and San Francisco.

Whew. It’s going to be a crazy week.

I have to see LAX for the first time. I drive in SoCal for the first time. I go to Hollywood, California for the first time. I fly to San Francisco and re-visit the Bay Area, the place of my birth. And then take my first ever red-eye back, stopping at my home (Atlanta) airport for two hours, but not enough time to get to see my parents.

I don’t even know how to start to get ready. And I’m not just talking about my suit-case here! Though, that’s a ginormous task all it’s own.

Here’s the weather forecast:

Los Angeles: Highs in the mid 90s, lows in the mid to high 60s. Chance of rain 0%.
San Diego: Highs in the mid 80s, lows in the low 60s. Chance of rain 0%.
San Francisco: Highs in the mid 60s to low 70s, lows in the 40s to 50s. Chance of rain 20%.

Urmm… How does one even pack for that? All in a carry on, I might add.

I’ve packed five outfits. I hope they work. I have a peanut butter and jelly sandwich for the flight. And a GPS with my rental car. LA traffic, please don’t be as bad as they say. People I’m meeting for work, please don’t go changing my schedule. Here’s hoping for a fantastic trip!
