I want to change the world through love

What do I want?

I want to change the world through love.
Some of y’all know that. You’ve read my post on letting my inner love artist rock.
But I do want to help people to better love. To better enjoy every single day. To better appreciate and understand their families and friends.
Christmas has passed. But the loving does not need to end.
And while I was at home, I discovered an old visualization I wrote in October of 2007. I’d attended a workshop on yoga and creativity at Laughing Lotus New York.
After freeing our creativity through fluid movement, pranayama (breathing exercises), and meditation, the instructor lead through a visualization of our life. We were to write down what we remembered afterwards, in a free write. No censoring. Then, we had to read our future visualizations aloud. To make them a reality and speak them to the world.

This was what I put to paper, exactly as written. (Well, my hand-writing was pretty terrible–so that’s obviously been changed. But the punctuation, capitalization, etc. remains in tact.)

Love, family, plantation-ish home.
I want a man (strong) who loves me.
I want to act and wear period costumes—like Dr. Quinn only not—Laura Ingalls Wilder.
I want children safe & loved
Dinners w/ flowers—purple ones & wine.  The sounds of the ocean.  The sounds of quiet.   The sounds of love.  Robert Redford.  Visit France, travel.
YOGA. LOVE. STRONG. MAN. STRONG PROTECTION. PEACE. SIMPLE, comforting.  I want to bring love to the world.
I want people to learn about love & history.
I want to share, to love, to teach.  To live free, be free.  Love @ home.  Strong comfort.  Lilies, bread.  Kids & peace.  Brown gingham dress. Strong husband, cute children.  Plantation home.  Charleston-ish.  Charleston?  Ocean france.
LOVE to world.  Bring love to the world.
Be love.  Share love.
Children—2 cute ones.
I want to be completely free & connected to all aspects of my life.
I want to have an Oscar.
I want to change the world through love.

Don’t even ask me what half of it means.  Robert Redford? Not sure what he symbolized. Brown Gingham Dress? Haven’t a clue. But I’m sure it was very relevant at the time.

But what is really scary is the fact that I have not accomplished many of those goals.

I certainly can begin to accomplish some of the goals. Without delay.

One word is repeated more than any other in my visualization:

So today, I make it my life-long Christmas wish. My life-long goal for me.  How can I change the world through love? How can share, teach, and bring love to the world?

Because that’s my purpose.

I better get on that.

Starting NOW.

And that Oscar sure would be nice.  Maybe I’ll get lucky and write a book that’s turned into a movie someday. A screenwriting award would certainly kick butt. I’m not picky, Mr. Oscar.

If you were to visualize your life, what do you think your purpose would be? What would you see for your future, if you were to look without censoring? What is your deepest dream? How can you begin to make it come true?

I have a lot of my dreams come true surrounding me right now, and part of my day to day goal it so remember that and not take it for granted. (or “for granite” as Alice says) Before I know it, my little ones will be in college and it went by WAY too fast!!
You ooze love. Now let’s get on finding you a life partner who does the same! He’s out there… I think he just needed some extra maturing, and that oven timer will **DING!***, and he’ll be warm and ready!

You are so lucky! 🙂 It is amazing how quickly time goes. And I love the oven timer analogy. I’ve just got to be patient!!
