If I could turn back time… (+ Harry Potter)
If I could turn back time…..
IF I COULD TURN BACK TIME… DOO DOO DOO.
I’d do it all again!
Sorry Cher. This yogi believes that everything happens the way it is meant to happen!
And I never realized what a bizarre music video that was as a child. What’s with the cannon?
In the first Harry Potter book Dumebledore says “It does not do to dwell on dreams and forget to live.”
So often I get tempted to look at the shoulda woulda couldas. If only, I’d done x… Or I wish I’d done y…
But all the shoulda woulda coulda-ing in the world can’t change the past.
The past makes us who we are.
We need to embrace it.
And, yes, I own a Harry Potter time-turner necklace.
I won this not just because I’m teensy bit of a Harry Potter geek (which I will admit I am). But I own it because it is an amazing reminder.
A reminder that we cannot change time.
That we must embrace our past.
That everything is always happening FOR us, not TO us.
And we need to find a way to be happy exactly where we are.
And let go the shoulda woulda couldas. And work to create a spectacular present and an even more exciting future.
And yes, I also love the time turner because I like Harry Potter.
I’m not a full on Harry Potter geek, FYI. I haven’t been to Harry Potter world, even though I live in Florida. (It’s on my to-do list, I promise.)
But I do own this necklace.
And I *am* going to see Potted Potter: The Unauthorized Harry Potter Experience at the Straz Center in Tampa on Friday!
It’s 70 minutes of Harry Potter funnies.
No, I’m not dressing up.
But yes, I may wear my time-turner.
I’ll also be live-tweeting the show. Follow me on Friday with #StrazTweetSeat to learn more about this hysterical show!
And watch my Geekness rock it out on the Internet.
I guarantee you I’ll be having fun. And I won’t be wishing I had a real time turner to go back and change any of the moments.
Because everything *does* unfold exactly as it is meant to!
