You can dance if you want to!
“The one thing that can solve most of our problems is dancing.” – James Brown
Some days, you just gotta dance y’all!
This weekend I was having one of those. I’ve been feeling a lot of stress recently (that’s what happens with a website redesign, taking your business to the next level, trying to plan out the next few years of your life, etc.) and there was only one cure.
I needed to move it, move it!
Thank goodness for ClassPass and Soul Rooster (aka the studio hosting my Britney Flow if you haven’t signed up yet, hint hint!)
Soul Rooster has Areis and his AWESOME Cardio Dance class! It’s a mix of hip-hop, funk, and jazz. SO MUCH FUN!!
I couldn’t stop smiling y’all.
I haven’t danced like that in years!
Definitely got me out of my head, out of my worries, and into the music, my body, and the present moment.
I may have looked a little silly (I don’t think tap dance lessons helped me learn hip-hop), but I had the BEST TIME!!!!
And I got to go as a part of my ClassPass membership–even better!
Psst! If you are new to ClassPass they have a new deal for newbies–it’s only $49! Wahoo! (And you can go up to FOUR times per studio to get acquainted with everyone’s offerings.)
I am so grateful to ClassPass, without which I never would have tried Soul Rooster. Or found myself dancing up a storm this weekend spending some quality time with M-E!
We took the mandatory post class photo with instructor and student.
What to do?
I know, let’s show off our guns!
Or not… Umm.. Because apparently I have an awesome sleek yoga/runner’s body (check out my calf y’all!), but I don’t really have any crazy arm muscles to flex here. Umm. So let’s try again.
Winner winner, chicken dinner!
Thanks Areis for such an AWESOME class. And thanks to Soul Rooster and ClassPass for getting me in the door! Check out ClassPass for yourself, with the new client deal–and ClassPass is in over 3,500 studios around the country! Huzzah!
Does dancing get you back into YOU?
When’s the last time you got down and really had a chance to shake that thang? 😉
