Back in the Kitchen
You know how you have a passion that you realize you got “too busy” for?
And that makes you feel out of sorts and disoriented.
I love to cook.
I’ve always loved cooking and baking.
I used to read cookbooks for fun every night!
And I still love it.
I let myself get too busy. I made excuses. I avoided the tasks. I made up fifty million reasons why I didn’t have time to do one of my favorite activities.
But they were all lies.
And now I’m back. In many ways.
But for the first time since truly December, I have found my home again in the kitchen.
There’s no place like it for me. It’s comforting. It’s calming. It’s a zen space.
I even got myself some awesome pink knives to celebrate. Because I figured it would make me happy. And they DO say one of the most important things to being a chef is your chef knives.
Mine just happen to be hot pink.
And this yogi chef is back in action.
Starting with some of my favorite recipes.
I’ve been revisiting my all-time favorite parmesan-crusted almond flour herbed chicken. (Try saying that five times fast.)
Because it’s instant happiness. And making sides, baking chicken, dipping chicken, spending time in the kitchen.
It’s bringing me back to ME.
It helps that I also had organic fresh chicken, top quality imported Parmesan cheese, and Morning Pep Almond Flour (the best almond flour I’ve found on the market btw. Thank you for sending it Morning Pep! Ya’ll–if you want to know why I love it so much, you should see the YouTube video I left on the flour!)
I’m in the kitchen, a place where I DO belong.
I’m slowing down.
I’m savoring the flavors, smells, and sights of my favorite foods.
And I’m not going to quit.
