Happiness is something YOU create!

“Some believe in destiny and some believe in fate
I believe that happiness is something we create
You best believe that I’m not gonna wait”
–Sugarland, Something More

Every day, in every moment, we have a conscious decision for happiness.

We can choose frustration, anger, disappointment, sorrow, complaints, inferiority, negativity.

We can choose happiness.

It’s that simple.

Every breathe you take, every conversation with a friend, every email, every stop light, even every mistake.

They can be an opportunity to reconnect with the present and reconnect to your own inner happiness.

You can’t allow someone else or outside situations to control your happiness.

You are the only master over YOU.

So the next time you feel self-doubt. The next time you are faced with a letdown. A defeat.  Do not fall into the trenches of despair.  Pull yourself up by your bootstraps, as the saying goes, and make a choice to find the HAPPINESS in every situation. Revel in the positive. Know what makes YOU happy. And do it.

Do not wait for happiness to come to you. Do not expect others, money, praise, etc. to bring you joy.

You must claim joy for yourself.

Choose happiness.

Every time.  Every day. Every moment.

Find the joy within you.

And notice what a difference that happiness makes on your life.

Make the decision for you to be happy. And watch the amazing transformation when you let go of what does not serve you.

Find happiness. Be happy. Now. Just for you. Create it, find it, breathe it, live it.

Here. Now. Happiness.

Be the bliss so you can be the change.

Lead by example.

And live life gleefully.

Pretty please?

Have you read Buddha walks into a bar? I am reading it now, and your post reminded me of a lot of things he discusses.

I was just reminding myself that you make your own happiness last week. It’s always great to have this reminder…and brownies 🙂
