Always BeYOUtiful (+ Giveaway)

This week I’ve done a lot of thinking.

First of all, this month kicks off my THREE YEAR blogiversary. How crazy is that?! Thank you all for supporting me over the last three years. It means so much! (More to come on that.)

But it has all gotten me thinking.

One of my biggest themes on this blog is how important it is to be you, authentically you, confidently you–each and every single day.

And I have not always been doing that.

I have a “I want everyone to like me” problem. And the fear of disappointing others, of making them mad, or making them dislike me can sometimes prevent me from being the best ME that I can be.

As a result, I have not always practiced the very things in which I have preached.

And that needs to change.

Knowing my value, standing up for myself, and asking others to respect me may make some people not like me. But it will make ME like me more. And it will mean that the important people, the ones I love and care about–they will appreciate me more too. Because when you value yourself, you can better assist others and make this world a better place.

I urge you to be more YOU today. Starting right now.

So some people won’t like authenticity. They just don’t feel comfortable. That’s okay. But always be YOU. Stand up for you. Know your VALUE. Know that you are worthy. And treat others with the kindness and respect that you wish to be treated. And remember, no matter what, that you are AWESOME, special, and have unique offerings to bring out into the world.

And then bring yourself fully each and every day.

Because when that happens…it’s beautiful.

Because kindness and authenticity ARE beautiful.

YOU. The unique YOU. You are amazing. Share that confidently with the world.

And to help you with that journey, I am giving away a Peter Banir “beYOUtiful” tank–thanks for supporting this mission and celebrating with me Peter Banir Clothing! To celebrate my blogiversary but, more importantly, to remind us all that, when we are our authentic selves, we are beautiful. We are awesome. We are living up to our potential. We are sharing our gifts with the world. We are valuable. We are special. We are unique. We are truly beyoutiful.

Here’s Caitlyn modeling the lovely tank:

Sometimes it’s so hard to let go of caring what other people think of you so I try to keep in mind this quote that I’ve heard- I can’t remember where I found it to give credit, but “What other people think of you is none of your business. What they say about you is a reflection of them and not you.”
Sometimes just remembering these words is just what I need to let go of all that and be unapologetically ME! And ME is pretty beYOUtiful!

There is inner beauty and outer beauty. To achieve inner beauty – just be respectful and kinder to others. To achieve outer beauty – take care of your skin, eat right, and get enough sleep.

Congrats on 3 years! We started around the same time….

I try to be more BeYOUtiful by being honest, direct and true to myself. Even at 43 it can sometimes be hard. Thank you for the reminder!
